FCE & CAE
Brief history
Cambridge Courses at the HTL-Rankweil were conceived as one answer to the low number of English lessons (2 per week) in the curriculum of this type of vocational college. Undoubetly, our graduates have to meet the increasing demand for the language English in the world of work these days.
The first FCE-preparation courses were held at this school in 2007, followed by the first CAE-preparation courses in 2008 (Dr.Rigo)!
Dezember 2009:
- 10 students (graduates) are sittting the CAE-exam (Cambridge Advanced) at the WIFI in Dornbirn
- 38 students are participating in 3 different FCE-courses offered again ( Rigo, Rusch, Sandholzer). They are taking their exams at the WIFI in June 2010.
Oktober 2009:
- 21 students from the HTL-Rankweil achieved the FCE-Certificate, an extra-curricular accomplishment proving B-2 level (intern. Abitur/Matura- Niveau) before being admitted to our Matura-classes!
January 2009: CONGRATULATIONS on the first successful students in the first CAE-examination:
- Genov Dimitar (5HELT) - A
- Rangger Sebastian (5AHBTT)
- Videnov Svetoslav (5HELI)
September 2008:
- 3 FCE-Certificate courses (Mag. Rusch, Mag. Sandholzer, Dr. Rigo) were offered to accommodate the growing number of pupils interested in improving their English by means of the Cambridge Certificates.
September 2007:
- A further FCE-Certificate course was offered.
- Subsequently, successful students were able to acquire additional qualifications through the introduction of a CAE-Certificate course.
February 2007:
- First preparation courses FCE-Certificate were introduced at the HTL-Rankweil by Dr. Erwin Rigo. 5 pupils successfully completed the courses, one with an A, 2 B, 2 C!
